Dux Bellorum in Slingshot 284

There's a cracking write up of Dux Bellorum in issue 284 of Slingshot (September 2012, but running fashionably late). If you're not familiar with this publication, it's the journal of the Society of Ancients and should be considered essential reading if you're interested in ancient or medieval gaming and military history.

The review and battle report is written by Christopher Kay, who seems to have enjoyed himself with the rules. There are a couple of good diagrams to go with the article and Christopher makes a great stab at summing up what it is like to play a game of Dux Bellorum.
