Recently I've had the pleasure of working on Jim Bambra's Combat HQ World War Two wargame rules. They're coming out just about now, and I think they're a very fine set of rules for handling larger engagements in the war, with combined arms to the fore.
If you want to try before you buy, Jim has previously released a taster: a full set of WW2 rules for battles between armoured formations, especially useful for actions in the desert and Russian Front, but obviously equally applicable in any theatre. You can sign up for a free pdf of Armour Battles HERE.
Let's hope the rules are a great success for Jim!
And if you're looking input on your own rules in development, feel free to drop me a line HERE to discuss it further.
